I am a licensed Psychologist passionate about helping people overcome life’s challenges and finding emotional balance, harmony, and peace. I believe psychological practice must be based on the science of psychology, informed by research and scholarly work, but equally important, empathetic connection and warmth with those I work with.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology, JD in Law and post-doctoral certifications in numerous Evidence Based Practices. I have been a licensed Psychologist for 20+ years and practice in 42+ states through Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
When my professional training began at Nassau University Medical Center in New York, a Level I trauma center, I quickly learned that to be an effective psychotherapist one must be adaptive and use a variety of techniques. Over the last 20 years, I have honed a diverse set of skills that help people resolve conflicts- Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Skills Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure for Trauma/PTSD (PE), EMDR, Hypnosis and other techniques.
I treat a wide range of conditions, although my clinical areas of expertise are toxic relationship recovery (including narcissistic abuse and codependency), ADHD/Autism Psychological Evaluations, Trauma Recovery and Military issues.
